“Kenroy helped me to turn my life around. He connected me with a place to live, meaningful employment, and a bright outlook on my future.”
The Wilson Project Employment and Training Centre provides youth of all circumstances and ethnicity with meaningful opportunities to gain practical and hands-on skills in a variety of different areas. These areas include but are not limited to: the trades and automotive, administration, finances, and customer service. Development and community engagement are also a priority and through different initiatives, youth are able to obtain volunteer and community service hours through a wide variety of roles and responsibilities at different functions, activities, and events. The ultimate vision for the project is to cultivate and promote a team dynamic which recognizes the value of supporting each other to make a positive impact within the community.
At TWP, We Provide...
Mentorship and Coaching
At TWP, Youth are able to learn from the experience of others and gain practical advice, encouragement, and support from our mentors. Identifying their personal goals and establishing a sense of direction allows our youth to gain valuable insight into their futures and become empowered to make meaningful life decisions.
Development of life skills
Our wide variety of development driven programs foster individualized environments of learning, attention, and increased social and academic confidence. Youth are able to increase social and academic confidence by developing communication, study, and personal skills that will equip them with lifelong strategies for dealing with both personal and professional issues.
Maximization of potential
At The Wilson Project, we strive to empower youth to make decisions and push beyond their comfort zones. We help them to create a plan, to be positive, to change their thinking, and to develop a sense of resilience in the face of controversy and critique.
